Pequeno in Munich

Incredibly bad "to go" service! We are enthusiastic about the Pequeno in Haidhausen - charming staff, delicious food and top drinks. So we thought we'd get something to go in Corona times, also to support Pequeno. Since the Pequeno is on the way home in Lehel, we ordered there. A big mistake! When I was told about a garlic allergy on the phone several times, the dish was full of it (of course only noticed at home, that was an evening with food from the fridge instead of a Mexican evening), the drinks were small (instead of the ordered happy hour jumbo size) who have favourited the salsa with the tortilla chips were also wrong. And instead of an apology, there was only the promise of a voucher for the one dish (which has not yet arrived today) - they would not have been wrong about anything else. How can you be so stubborn, so unfriendly and so little correspond to the service thoughts? It's a shame that the two places are so different! The Pequeno in Lehel will definitely never see us again!

The reception, the food and the cocktails are really good. Only B flat minor: no wheelchair access.

First of all waited until the service came. But it was worth it. Service super super super nice, food was also very tasty. I also think prices are okay. So personally, again and again.

Me and my boyfriend have never had Mexican food before. And today was the first time we ate something Mexican, and I have to tell you that it was the hottest restaurant I was in. The boss is super nice, great location, great food. Anyone who doesn't go has really missed something. I can only recommend you

Unfortunately, the name says it all (Pequeño = little). The portion was unfortunately a bit poor. The service was nice, the cocktails below average. Instead of bulk, it is better to offer less choice and more quality. 90% of the food probably came from TK and was only fried. I had the enchilada mixta and in the vegetarian version only potatoes in it. The Chili Con Carne was unfortunately quite bland. Absolutely cannot recommend this place. In the end there was the nasty surprise that you can't pay by card, and that in the middle of a big city. But then you notice again that Germany is a developing country in this respect. Dreadful!

Good food. Cocktails could be better. The Mexican platter is a good choice.

It tastes quite good Mexican here. The service is very nice and courteous and very obliging. You can also sit outside in good weather.

The drinks are liquid and the food is pleasant. Matthias is an outstanding person and you are served very attentively.

A really cozy bar with good prices and extremely nice staff. I have been there twice so far and I have to say I was won over as a regular guest.

Always a pleasure to come there. Whether for dinner or in the evening for one or two drinks. I think both are really good here. The staff is incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Even on full days you are always treated in a friendly manner and the employees do not lose their sense of humor even at stressful times of the day. Absolutely a super friendly place.

Delicious food, great cocktails, friendly and fast waiters. Everything your heart desires and the price-performance ratio is right too! I can only recommend it to everyone, is also very accessible to the public. Always my pleasure.

Ate well and the cocktails were very good too. An automatic tip of 3 euros on the bill surprised me a bit, but was also justified and there was still something on it.

The best place in munchen for a bite and a cocktail. Really nice delicious balanced meal.

Overpriced, bland would-be Mexican food. You cannot pay with a card, you are only told at the end, then you have to go to the bank and pay another 6 euros for withdrawing. Service drunk, slow and not particularly personable. Rather not recommended, even if it attracts a lot of people, but probably more because of the cocktails and the location.

Terrible and slow service. The food is actually very good and the drinks are also nice. But the waiter either had a bad day or doesn't care about customers. Still recommended.

Clear recommendation! Delicious! Friendly and personable staff. Food and cocktails are super tasty and totally inexpensive, especially for the Munich area. The boss as well as the waitresses were always for a joke and one or the other schnapps was drunk together. I will definitely come again :)

Very ambitious and incredibly friendly staff, always very helpful. Good conversation with the waiter;) Very nice atmosphere and what particularly pleased me and my friends was the diverse selection of spritz :) Good food and sitting outside is very pleasant, perfect for a summer day!

This place is hands down the best Mexican food I had since being in Germany. All around great food, great drinks, & GREAT SERVICE!

Seldom experienced such a friendly service. There were even two cocktails on the house due to a little misunderstanding when ordering. I would love to come back :)

Great food, staff and drinks.

Very atmospheric place. They always have offers for drinks and you can eat some tasty mexican meals. Also it's really nice of them to work when a lot of other places are closed, for example on Sundays. I recommend that one!

The guy who greeted us was very friendly and attentive. We ordered some nachos, beef fajitas and a chicken burrito for two people and was the perfect amount. The nachos were a little soft, as past. The fajitas you're doing you the to your liking, and did not have too much meat, most vegetables was. The burrito was pretty good. No card payment available only for local people with a business there (or so we understood the girl who charged us).

Great spot to grab a little taste of Mexico. The service is super fast and friendly. Both cocktails and food arrive before you know it. There are some snacky things that are worth trying and they even have a sampler plate. Vibe in here is kinda quiet. But that's ok.

Absolute best Mexican food in the west. Tried many and although most are great they don't stand up to Pequeño. Wonderful place, sovereign indoors, desert-esq mood kept cool throughout, amazing view outside proven by the inability to actually grab a seat as they're always taken. Price is just right. And if you think the food was good, the wait times and staff were even better. All and all if you're looking for a hell-of-a Mexican Food experience give this place a shot. Can't recommend this place enough.

Absolutely delicious food. Great cocktails too. One of the best places that I ate at in Munich, especially for something different. Lots of options on the menu (Mexican style food) and definitely many delicious vegetarian options. Nice, friendly staff as well. Would 100% go back again

The food was good but by far not enough for me

We had a late diner on a sunday night, not so crowded but we did not feel really welcomed by the waitress when we ordered the food at 22h30 (warm kitchen until 23h30), especially when she looked at her watch in front of us like „it s too late to order“. The cheese on the enchiladas was not cooked / grilled, our burrito was fried (first time I saw this). Unfortunately not a good experience.

Nice food

Food & Service / price are good

Great food, but horrible arrogant waiter lady, who mostly speaks Spanish. She is very impolite to people. No "Hello", no smile, nothing. When you have questions her answer is "You don't like? You go away". Great food, but this arrogant behaviour is a no go. She treats you like you are not a customer, like you are just one who dare to disturb her during lunch time. Will never go there anymore, better order online.
